Networking
The data are stored on a simple flat-file system. Data
from each sensor
are collected and stored on the data acquisition system in text format.
The data are archived nightly in binary format on the PC server at the
demonstration building.
The graphical analysis software is located
on the PC, allowing the on-site operator direct access to real-time and
historical data. The more sophisticated browsing and statistical analysis
tools are of greater use to remote expert users. The project research team
has access to the data and visualization software, allowing them to analyze
building performance remotely and test the automated diagnostics system.
